Autumn’s definitely here isn’t it? As soon as we turn back the clocks, the mornings are mistier, the nights are drawing in and I’m being invaded by spiders that suddenly seem to appear every autumn. It’s hard being a shed sometimes!
Personally speaking, I welcome the arrival of autumn, I can’t wait for the clocks to go back. William Willet, you have my applause for your innovative thinking! I think it’s a disgrace that the German nation adopted his daylight saving idea before us Brits, but oh the peace and quiet it brings me. I expect I will see less and less of my owners as the dark evenings keep them inside. They’ll only venture into the garden on rare days off and weekends.
Don’t Forget me when you Turn Back the Clocks
The arrival of autumn and approach of winter can indeed be a difficult time for us sheds. The leaves falling off from the trees tend to build up around us. I do hope my owner remembers to clear them away from us to stop us having a soggy bottom!
Hopefully I’ll get a visit every now and again in the colder weather. I do miss my owners and I can see them through the window all cosy and warm. It was very exciting the other day when the back door opened but my owner was on a mission. A quick dash around the side of the garage and he reappeared briefly with an arm full of logs! That reminded me that my trusty cousin The Gothic Log Store, is here to keep me company and we had a good chin-wag!
Maybe next time my owner will open my door and give me a bit of a breather. It’s always lovely to have a breath of fresh air inside to keep me lovely and fresh and my lock appreciates a turn too.
Thanks for keeping me company, I’ll write again soon!
