Summer House Shed with Veranda

In 2020, during the first lockdown, many people turned to their garden to spend their leisure time. Sue and Phil followed this trend and decided that they would like a new garden summer house. Firstly, as a previous customer, they knew that they wanted The Posh Shed Company to build their new garden building. They couldn’t find exactly what they wanted available, so they opted for a bespoke option for their summer house style shed.
Design and Build

Sue and Phil started from the premise that they wanted a Gothic Posh Shed in Sadolin Northern Pike, to compliment Sue’s existing 8ft x 6ft Very Posh Shed.
“We particularly liked the style of The Wimbledon Posh Shed too” said Phil. “So we worked with The Posh Shed Company to achieve the precise style and sizes that we wanted”.
Discussions ensued and eventually a design emerged that suited Sue and Phil’s vision.

The fabric of the garden building is in essence just like The Wimbledon, with a 4ft rather than a 3ft veranda.
Wavy soffits, facias and ridge boards with arched windows and doors, are pulled from The Gothic Shed design. With a footprint of 10ft by 10ft, the final design has full length windows and double doors to the front.
Further windows to the side elevations let even more light flood in and the open veranda creates a seamless marriage with the garden.
Installation of The Summer House Shed
Sue and Phil placed their order in the autumn of 2020. “We had plenty of time to reorganise the borders and lay the base ourselves”. Says Phil.
Installation took place on 1st April 2021, with team from The Posh Shed Company finishing the the job within the day.
Creation of a Stylish Summer House
Following the installation, Sue and Phil engaged a local contractor to fit the insulation, lining and paint the interior.
Finally electricity was installed to provide light and power.
The results have been stunning. There is a real summer house feel and the finished shed means that Sue and Phil can entertain friends and family in their garden now in all but the worst British weather.
Phil says, “The bespoke Wimbledon has become the stylish and functional focal point of the garden”.
Settling into New Surroundings
The new garden structure really compliments its new surroundings. Not only does it look great in the day but as night falls, the atmosphere remains cosy and welcoming. The new planting scheme is growing well and will mature during the next growing season.
Even when the pandemic and lockdowns are distant memories, there is no doubt that Phil and Sue’s Posh Summer House Shed will still be a popular spot for their friends and family.
