Comfortably Posh Specification
The floor is made with 18mm weather-proof plywood (WBP). A coat of wood preservative on the top surface to give an extra layer of protection.
This plywood is fitted to 30mm tanolised timber bearers and then a weatherproof membrane and a layer of insulation is fitted between. This membrane also laps up around the edges where it is joined with the membrane that is fitted within the walls.
- The door glazing pane is fitted with a double glazed unit.
- Doors are fitted with a 5 lever sash lock, BS3621:1998 standard (recognised by most insurance companies) and come with a choice of handles, black, chrome or brass effect..
- The door is built to the same specification as you would expect to fit in a house.
Already well above what you might have come to expect from a shed, including pressure treated TGV, insulated and plywood lined.
Walls
- 38mm x 50mm fully founded framework.
- Insulation board fitted between the framework 6mm WBP plywood fitted to outside of framework.
- Damp proof membrane fitted on the outside of the framework.
- Good quality pressure treated TGV fitted as the outer surface.
- 6mm WBP plywood fitted to the inside of framework.
- All screwed and pinned together, using galvanised screws and stainless steel brads.
The main beams holding up the roof are either 75mm x 50mm or 100mm x 50mm depending on the size of the shed.
The main roof panel is built using 6mm wbp plywood this has soffit boards pre-fitted on either end to ensure a snug fit, insulation boards are fitted over this, another layer of 6mm plywood is fitted which a layer of waterproof membrane is fitted to, and to finish it off a top layer of either felt shingles, cedar shingles or slate fitted.
Please note that not all shed designs are available in all roof finishes.
Glazing is double glazed units.
To finish off your window we offer a choice of black, silver or brass effect for the casement stays and catch.
