Insulated Sheds

The garden shed has been constantly evolving recently. Traditional garden storage solutions are also a great candidate to use for a variety of other uses. Insulated sheds ensure that using them all year-round is far more comfortable.

Insulated Sheds for Working from Home
The biggest change in shed use in the last two years has been the growth in working from home. Where space is of a premium, an insulated shed will ensure that work and home activities don’t merge., Creating demarcation between work and home is important. Siting your work out of the house and in the garden, creates the separation.
A larger shed such as The Richmond gives plenty of space for a desk, office storage, or even a couch to relax and have lunch on a rainy day. If you fancy an outdoor office option for balmy summer working, The Putney or The Wimbledon are just perfect. If a more traditional shed is more you, then The Potting Shed and The Gothic Shed are both available in sizes up to 10ft x 8ft. For a modern garden building, The Contemporary, with its sleek angles and roof lights, ticks all the boxes.
Insulated Sheds to use as an Extension to the House
Space – not the final frontier but an earthly commodity in huge demand. Somewhere to escape to is so valuable in peoples’ busy lives. From a reading room to a sewing room, a garden bolt hole is a healthy addition to a busy household.

An insulated garden shed is great for craft-based hobbies. As well as being away from the home, a shed offers an inspirational outlook.

In a busy house, space to chill out is so important. Sheds make an excellent (and cool) teenage den to listen to music, create music, socialise with friends or even do homework!
Year-Round Comfort
The cooler autumn and winter months will inevitably mean a cooler shed. To be sure that your shed stays cosy all year round, insulation is crucial. On insulated sheds, we apply a layer of insulation to our signature triple layer construction. This is used throughout, in the walls, floor and ceiling. Double glazing is added to insulated Posh Sheds completing their toasty credentials.
How to Keep your Shed Warm all Year Round
Many people choose to add heat and power to their sheds. The best way to heat an insulated shed is with a portable electric heater. These can be mains electric, however improvements in solar power mean that off-grid options are also more readily available.
Advances in renewable energy mean that there are many choices suitable for adding power to a domestic shed.
We can supply a small solar panel with a light and two USB points with any of our sheds. These are ideal for charging a mobile phone or powering a portable speaker. If mains power is needed, then consult a qualified professional electrician to install a safe supply.
Finally, don’t under-estimate the power of sunlight! Position your shed windows in full sun thus allowing nature to warm your shed on sunny days. The insulation will then retain that heat well. When choosing the location for your shed, consider if the location of trees or buildings will consequently obstruct the sun in the winter months when you need that extra boost the most.
Insulated Posh Sheds
Most Posh Sheds can be provided with an insulated build hence improving usability. Comfortably Posh is insulated, with a pressure treated exterior. Unbelievably Posh is insulated, painted externally and includes a small solar panel and a weather vane.
Small Insulated Sheds:
If you just need a small space, 7ft x 5ft or less, then these insulated sheds will work for you. The different designs have features to suit most hobbies, depending on whether you need a long or wide space.

Large Insulated Sheds:
These insulated sheds are available in larger sizes, 8ft x 6ft or larger, so they are suitable for working from home or for hobbies that need a little more space. The Wimbledon has a front veranda and The Putney has an optional veranda – perfect for a spot of relaxation or entertaining!

Bespoke Insulated Sheds
If you can’t find the perfect shed, then a bespoke shed might be the answer. These can be totally bespoke, a mixture of styles, a larger or smaller size – indeed some or all, you choose!
Space and Freedom
Whatever pursuit you are following, moving out to the garden will allow you more space and freedom to immerse yourself fully.
