NEVER TOO SMALL TO BE A POSH SHED!

From the minute Mr and Mrs Tordoff moved into their new home they knew they wanted a shed for their garden. To qualify as suitable the shed must be very compact to sit within an equally compact garden and be of the very nicest design, a ‘pretty' shed. 13 years passed and the space reserved for this elusive shed remained vacant. Until on a leisurely stroll at their local garden centre they chanced on a Posh Shed display. Although there was nothing of the right scale Val Tordoff knew at once that here were sheds made in the same spirit as she wanted. After calling the Posh Shed office Val admits it took a while for the penny to drop that when they said ‘bespoke' it really did mean ‘we'll build what you want'. She says, "Most products these days seem to be modular so you can adapt them to a degree but within their criteria. When the penny did drop that we had a blank canvas my husband Brian and I sketched out what we were envisaging; a shed not much bigger than a telephone box but with a lovely roof and windows. The drawings which came back to us were fabulous and expanded on our own ideas. They were exactly what we had dreamed of all these years. Of course we paused to reflect on the cost - Brian asked me ‘who's paying?' and when I said ‘me' it was decision made. Within two weeks Richard arrived to put the shed together.

All went well until I over-ruled Richard when he was unhappy with the way the roof was fitting together. When he finished we looked at it together and we realised he should have stuck to his guns. Without hesitation he put it back together the way he had originally intended.

We are totally pleased with our shed. It is our very own little ‘Posh' shed."
